Jeff has worked at a variety of companies from Fortune 100 to start-ups. He specializes in database engineering, with extensive experience in Perl and SQL. His most recent position prior to joining End Point was as Director of Software Development for an Internet start-up, developing a news searching and summarizing tool using Perl, PostgreSQL, RSS, and other web technologies.

Previous Experience

Lead Developer and Database Administrator for Nexcerpt, Inc. from 2001 to 2005. Headed up development for an Internet start-up offering news searching products.

Consultant for Whirlpool from 1997 to 2000. Worked on Oracle database projects related to company logistics (e.g., product delivery tracking).

Database Developer for Zenith Data Systems from 1994 to 1996. Database development supporting a shop floor manufacturing tracking system.

Software Engineer for Digital Interface Systems from 1991 to 1994. Worked on numerous projects involving embedded systems and manufacturing control.

Personal

Jeff was one of the first-ever Computer Science graduages from Hope College in Holland, Mich. He still lives in Michigan with his wife and two sons, the youngest of whom is attending Michigan State (go Spartans!). A frustrated Detroit Lions fan, Jeff's idea of a really good time is inviting 30 of his closest friends for a weekend of board games, poker, food, and deep conversation.
